Educational program (from 09/01/2023)

Educational plan (from 09/01/2023)

The purpose of the educational program (EP)

The goal of the EP “Applied physics and nanomaterials” (specialty 105 – Applied physics and nanomaterials) is to train specialists who are able to solve complex specialized tasks and practical solutions from promising problems of applied physics, in professional activities or in the process of further education, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and involve the application of certain theories and methods of modern applied physics. Graduates of the EP receive competences sufficient for solving standard and non-standard complex problems in professional activities in the field of applied physics and nanomaterials, the opportunity to master the basics of scientific research, production-technological and design activities in the field of development and manufacture of nanomaterials, to acquire practical skills for work with the application of modern applied physics of nanomaterials for the development of renewable energy, medical physics, which will contribute to the scientific and technical progress of Ukraine and PreCarpathian region.

The main focus of the educational program and specialization

EP “Applied Physics and Nanomaterials” prepares specialists with comprehensive knowledge of physics, mathematics, information technologies and programming, who are able to solve applied problems, based on the achievements of modern physics, in particular, the physics of nanomaterials. The emphasis of the EP is focused on applied problems, which are necessary both for the reconstruction of Ukraine in the post-war period, and for Ukraine to be among the countries that solve modern challenges in the fields related to the development of renewable energy and medical physics.

The program provides for the implementation of the concept of “learning through science” with the mandatory involvement of students in research, including in modern scientific laboratories.

A graduate of the educational program is awarded a Master’s degree with the qualification: Master’s in Applied Physics and Nanomaterials.
