On December 12, 2019, a meeting of the editorial board of the journal “Physics and Chemistry of Solids” with the editor-in-chief of the International scientific journal “Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics (SPQEO)” Petro Semenovich Smertenko.
Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics (SPQEO) was founded in 1998. He became one of the first English-language scientific publications in the field of semiconductor physics in Ukraine. SPQEO has opened new opportunities to promote the scientific achievements of Ukrainian scientists in the global scientific space. SPQEO’s research areas are focused on modern advances in semiconductor physics, nanoscale and heterostructures, linear and nonlinear optics, quantum electronics, optoelectronics, and sensors.
The updated scientific and organizational strategy for the development of the journal helped in 2018 and 2019 enter the international scientific abstract databases Web of Science and Scopus, as well as obtain the category “A” of the professional publication in Ukraine.
